YMCA childcare programs not only show kids tons of fun... they also give parents the peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe, supportive environment that encourages children to grow and learn. Children make new friends, develop new skills and build strong values.

Kids Day Out...no school: KDO's provide full day care when Kannapolis City & Cabarrus County schools have teacher work days and on most school holidays. This service is included (no cost) for After School participants but is also available for children who are not currently enrolled in After school, see pricing below. Parents must provided lunch, it is not included.

Print off registration forms and bring completed forms with most current shot records to the Y Branch closest to you. A member service staff member will assist you with registration.

 The Kannapolis Branch YMCA provides licensed childcare Before School & After School. Activities include: devotions, arts & crafts, songs, skits, group games, swimming and a daily snack. After school participants also receive homework assistance Monday-Thursday. Morning transportation is provided to school and afternoon transportation is provided from school. Subsidized childcare vouchers are accepted. Kannapolis provides transportation to and from the following schools:

• Enochville Elementary School
• Shadybrook Elementary School
• Forest Park Elementary School
• Jackson Park Elementary School

*Onsite program offered at Forest Park Elementary
