Ron Davis, President / CEO Ron is originally from Davidson and has been with the YMCA in many capacities, serving as a board member at both the Lake Norman YMCA and Stanly County YMCA. He retired from the banking industry in early 2004 and joined the Cannon Memorial YMCA later that year. Ron is married with young adult children and is an avid Carolina Tarheels fan.

Ronald D. Barr, Vice President of Finance / CFO Ron is not originally from the south but has been in this area since 1996. Ron has worked in many YMCAs and other non-profits throughout the country during his career. Ron says that the Y is a great place for young people and young employees to establish the values needed for their future. Ron is married with one grown son and enjoys collecting old cars.

Debbie Owens, Executive Administrative Assistant Debbie has been with the YMCA since 1997 and was the second employee hired at the West Cabarrus YMCA branch where she ran the program office on Pitts School Road for many years before the branch was built. She is originally from South Boston, Virginia and is married with two grown daughters.

Adele Rogge, Accounting Specialist Adele began her YMCA career in 1992 with the Towson YMCA in Baltimore. She spent 11 years with the YMCA of Greater Richmond before relocating to Concord to be closer to family. Adele is married with two grown children and one grandson. Paulette Lambert, Personnel Specialist Paulette has been with the Cannon Memorial YMCA for over 40 years. She began working for the YMCA in 1964 as a secretary and currently works in the corporate office. Paulette is married with adult children and is a proud grandmother. Danielle Sumrell, Marketing Director Danielle began working for the YMCA part time in 2001 and was hired on at the Cannon Memorial YMCA full time in Feburary 2005. She is originally from Virginia Beach, VA and is married with two sons.

Emily Shoup, Membership Administrator Originally from Wooster, OH, Emily graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Dance Studio Management. Emily’s YMCA career started in Ann Arbor, MI in 2000 as the Membership Coordinator and was hired on at the Cannon Memorial YMCA January 2006. Kelly Powell, Accounting Specialist Kelly is the newest member of our Corporate Staff, hired in October 2009 after 13 years of working in the banking industry.
